What Are the MAZDA Maintenance Schedules?

MAZDA CX-5 Maintenance Schedule

Normal Driving Conditions

  • Follow the Mazda6 maintenance schedule, except for the spark plug variations
  • Replace spark plugs with the engine SKYACTIV®-G 2.5T every 40,000 miles, and every 75,000 miles on anything other than the SKYACTIV®-G 2.5T engine

MAZDA CX-30 Maintenance Schedule

Your Mazda CX-30 oil change will come every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, depending on how you drive your vehicle in Normal. Here’s the guide to all other Mazda CX-30 maintenance intervals:

Normal Driving Conditions

Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles:

  • Inspect drive belts
  • Inspect engine coolant level
  • Inspect brake and clutch fluid level
  • Inspect tire inflation pressure and tire wear
  • Inspect function of all lights

Every 30,000 miles:

  • Replace spark plugs
  • Replace brake fluid
  • Replace cabin air filter

Every 60,000 miles:

  • Replace tires

MAZDA CX-50 Maintenance Schedule

Like with the Mazda CX-30, you’ll want to get a Mazda CX-50 oil change every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, or sooner if you drive as a fleet vehicle. Here’s the Mazda CX-50 maintenance schedule for everything else:

Normal Driving Conditions

Every 5,000 miles:

  • Replacing the engine oil and oil filter
  • Inspecting the washer, brake, and clutch fluid levels
  • Looking for brake wear
  • Checking coolant levels
  • Inspecting the engine air filter and drive belts
  • Inspecting the interior and exterior lights
  • Checking the tire pressure and wear levels, including the spare tire
  • Lubricating locks and hinges

Every 10,000 miles:

  • Check wheel alignment
  • Check hoses
  • Rotate tires

Every 20,000 miles:

  • Inspect brake lines, connections, and hoses
  • Inspect fuel lines and hoses
  • Inspect power steering operation and parts
  • Inspect driveshaft dust boots, heat shields, and other parts of the exhaust system
  • Inspect front and rear suspension components, ball joints, and wheel bearings

Every 30,000 miles:

  • Replace cabin air filter

Every 40,000 miles:

  • Replace transmission fluid, if manual transmission
  • Check drive belts

Every 75,000 miles:

  • Replace spark plug

Every 120,000 miles:

  • Replace engine coolant

MAZDA3 Maintenance Schedule

Your Mazda maintenance schedule will be a bit different depending on if you set the “Oil Change” maintenance reminder to “Flexible” or “Fixed.” This changes the frequency for inspecting some vehicle elements, such as:

Normal Driving Conditions

  • With the “Flexible” oil change setting: replace your oil when the wrench indicator comes ON. You should also replace the air filter and cabin air filter. The max interval is every 10,000 miles or 12 months
  • With a “Fixed” oil change setting: replace your oil every six months. Replace the air filter every 30 months and the cabin air filter every two years
  • Every Year: Have your disc brakes inspected
  • Every Two Years: check the fuel lines/hoses, front and rear suspension, brake lines, steering operation, hoses and connections, driveshaft dust boost, and inspect and tighten bolts and nuts on the chassis and body as needed
  • Every Three Years: inspect the drive belts
  • Every Four Years: check your hoses and tubes for emission and exhaust system leaks, and heat shields
  • Replace engine coolant at 120,000 miles/10 years, or 60,000 miles/four years depending on the type of coolant. After the first replacement, change it at 60,000 miles/five years
  • Replace your spark plugs at 75,000 miles
  • Rotate your tires at 5,000 miles to keep you safe on Springfield roads.

MAZDA6 Maintenance Schedule

Normal Driving Conditions

  • Follow the Mazda3 maintenance schedule above for yearly, bi-yearly, and three-year maintenance needs
  • Replace the cabin air filter every two years
  • Replace your air filter every three years
  • Every Four Years: Inspect hoses and tubes for emission leaks
  • Every Five Years: Check the exhaust system, and heat shields
  • Rotate your tires every 7,500 miles
  • Replace the engine oil and filter when the wrench indicator light comes on. The maximum interval is 12 months/7,500 miles
  • Replace the engine coolant at 120,000 miles/10 years and 60,000 miles/ five years after the first replacement
  • Replace spark plugs with the SKYACTIV®-G 2.5 engine every 75,000 miles and every 40,000 miles with the SKYACTIV®-G 2.5T engine
  • Inspect emergency flat tire repair kit annually if installed
