More and more, drivers are seeing hybrid and electric vehicles on Normal and Springfield streets. If you’re wondering if Mazda makes a hybrid, the answer is yes! Currently you’ll find one Mazda hybrid model—the 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV—and one fully electric model—the 2023 Mazda MX-30 EV, which is only available in California. That said, more Mazda plug-in hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles are in the works with larger distribution areas. For now let’s take a closer look at the Mazda CX-90 PHEV and what might be on the horizon for Mazda hybrid models.Â
At press time there’s one Mazda plug-in hybrid vehicle—PHEV—available in the Morton area: the 2024 Mazda CX-90 PHEV. Battery charging times, as with any EV, will depend on the level of charging station you use:Â

There are more Mazda plug-in hybrid vehicles and all-electric vehicles on the way soon! For starters, the electric Mazda MX-30 e-SKYACTIVE R-EV is being produced for the European market. For the U.S., the Mazda CX-50 PHEV is slated to arrive in 2024. This compact two-row SUV will be similar in size and features to its gas-powered sibling. It’s being manufactured in Birmingham, Alabama, which decreases the carbon footprint required to ship SUVs from overseas.Â
